Information You Provide
Search Tool Entries
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other search term into a third-party search tool, that entry is sent to the provider that operates the tool. Morgan County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query after it receives it.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends a message through a contact channel operated for the site, we may retain the message, contact details, and related correspondence so we can respond. We do not share that information outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data and Cookies
Like most websites, the site and its service providers may receive basic technical information when a page loads. This information helps operate the service, measure performance, and diagnose problems.
- Internet protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when one is available
- Date and time of access
Cookie Choices
Cookies and similar tools help show how visitors use the site. Browser settings can limit or block cookies, although some site functions or third-party tools may then work differently.
How Information Is Used
We use available information to operate and improve the site, protect it from technical misuse, and understand which reference pages are useful. It may also be used to route a search request to the provider that receives it or to display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.
External Services and Links
The site links to official sources such as the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL locator, court resources, and independent search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that outside service’s privacy policy and practices apply.
Advertising partners may also collect activity across sites on their own systems to deliver interest-based advertising. Morgan County Busted Mugshots does not control their collection practices or their policies.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data. Depending on the service used and applicable law, limited information may be processed by the following parties.
- Search partners that receive a submitted search query
- Analytics providers that help measure site use
- Advertising networks that serve or measure advertising
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal order requires disclosure
Security Practices
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled for the site. No online service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise that a security incident will never occur.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, they may request its deletion through the applicable site contact channel.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a visitor may ask to access personal data we hold, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, or object to certain processing. Requests must be made through the site contact channel and may be limited where legal obligations or legitimate security needs apply.
Policy Revisions
We may revise this notice as the site, its providers, or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here. The Tennessee Public Records Act, including T.C.A. §10-7-503 guidance, applies to government records held by public custodians, not to a visitor’s private interaction with this site.
